Iranian flick ‘Diapason’ has won an award at the Asian Film Festival Barcelona in Spain.

The film written by Hossein Tehrani has grabbed the award for best script at the Discoveries section of the 2020 edition of the event.

‘Diapason’ has so far won awards at various international film festivals, including Avanca International Film Festival in Portugal.

The 93-minute flick has also won a nomination at the main competition section of the Busan International Film Festival.

The flick is about a 50-year-old single working mom named Ra’ana who is living happily with her daughter Hoda until Hoda meets a sudden death in an accident.

‘Diapason’ is a social drama with the starring lead role of ‘Breath’ star Zhale Sameti.

Also included in the cast list of the film are Behnoush Bakhtiyari, Alireza Ostadi, Mehdi Hosseininia, Masoumeh Rahmani, Babak Nouri, Shadi Ganji, Mahsa Akbari, Sara Sarabi and Yekta Tabibi.
